The customer, a prominent property development company, sought a marketing suite for a new development. The space requirements listed in their brief was for a self-contained office for 3-4 staff, a meeting room and a large reception/foyer which would include a scaled model of the large business campus. An additional requirement was that the suite could be moved to another development location at a later date. The design of the suite was to be contemporary and appealing.
Concept
Shomera proposed a 98 square metre structure that would allow flexibility with the internal layout in order to meet the working requirements for potential clients and staff. To meet the “contemporary-design” criterion the shape of the suite is a simple “cube” structure with a unique aluminium fascia detail that surrounds the covered veranda and entrance area.
Construction
Bearing in mind the structure’s size and limited access to the location of the proposed suite, Shomera capitalised on our strength in off-site construction and built the suite at our factory premises in Dunshaughlin, Co Meath.
Given the client’s requirement for future mobility, the suite was constructed in modular format. Bearing in mind the constraints of road transportation, two modules were constructed using steel frames so they could be transported separately to the site and move later, when required. On site, the two modules were craned into position and seamlessly integrated to create a completed structure.
This required careful planning and stringent controls in our manufacturing as well as care on site by our installation team.
Completion
The Shomera marketing suite has been widely applauded by those in the architectural, engineering and construction industries. The external appearance promotes the standard of quality the client’s wanted to achieve while the spacious interior and attention to detail provides an inviting environment for staff and visitors to the suite.
