Templeogue House Extension and Renovation

Project Description

We completed a Ground Floor house extension on a large semi-detached house in Templeogue. Like so many suburban homes, despite the large footprint the living area was sub-divided into kitchen, dining room, sitting room an d the house wasn’t meeting the requirements of a young, growing family. Shomera are proud to have worked on this Templeogue House Extension and Renovation.

Project Details

Location Templeogue
Type House Extension
Length 8 weeks
Features Utility, childrens play room, re-ordered living room

The project included renovation work as well as a large extension to the rear. Now the family have a larger, better proportioned sitting room, a separate utility room, increased storage area and a very large kitchen/dining family area that is flooded with light from large sliding door-sets, clerestory windows and a low-profile roof light. The South Easterly aspect of the rear garden means enjoyment of light from morning throughout the day and the South facing clerestory window brings light into the raked ceiling of the kitchen.
Our home has been transformed with a new light-filled living space, larger living room and separate utility room. The only problem now is that we don’t get to spend enough time in it. We had been planning to get a new house extension and some additional refurbishment work for a few years and had heard about Shomera’s reputation for architectural design aswell as quality of build. We were impressed with the fresh ideas in relation to the look of the building and their suggestions on layout saved us additional work and cost. The team on-site were excellent and couldn’t have been more helpful. We added a few weeks on to the proposed schedule but they finished on time so we got to move back sooner than anticipated.
