This project involved replacing an outdated garden structure with a modern, multi-functional studio designed to support both lifestyle and practical needs. The client wanted a space that could function as a workspace, a place to unwind, and an area for entertaining, while also providing secure, easy-access storage for a motorbike.
Shomera delivered a bespoke garden studio that balances comfort, durability, and intelligent use of space, wrapped in a warm cedar-clad exterior that feels like a natural extension of the home.

The client approached Shomera with a clear and focused brief: a garden studio that feels connected to the main home, suitable for work, relaxation, and hosting guests, with secure motorbike storage integrated with direct rear laneway access.
The design needed to maintain a modern, high-quality aesthetic throughout, and the project had to be delivered on time and within budget.
Design & Build Solution
Shomera designed and built a tailored studio that combines lifestyle features with smart, site-specific solutions:
- Integrated a custom shed extension with rear laneway access, fitted with an electric roller garage door to allow safe, effortless motorbike storage
- Designed the main studio as a flexible living space, complete with a kitchen and bar area for entertaining and everyday use
- Installed a fully equipped toilet and shower room, enabling the studio to function independently of the main house

- Finished the exterior with horizontal cedar cladding, selected for its warmth, durability, and modern character
