1970s Semi-Detatched Renovation
This project entailed the renovation of a typical Dublin 1970′s house – in Castleknock, Dublin.
Planning permission had been obtained previously, but the clients wanted to make alterations to the design while staying within the scope of the original planning consent. Shomera made design alterations to the front porch and house extension to the rear, while also re-ordering the First Floor to create a new Master Suite with walk-through wardrobe and en-suite.
Improving Your Living Space
From the “before” and “after” photographs you will see that the kitchen has now been flooded with light and integrated into the new large open-plan living area. The introduction of roof lights on the newly-created mono-pitch roof and the use of low profile roof lights in the new extension gives the clients a bright, light-filled living area all year round.
Our decision to go with Frank and his team was the right decision from the start. They worked with us and suggested a number of design changes which have really added to the look and use of our new home. We appreciated the flexibility and teamwork approach of the company.
We were delighted with the speed of completion due to the off-site-construction. The office team were very professional and the site crew were always courteous and conscientious. In fact, the whole operation was surprisingly painless. At no point was anything a problem and any additional work we requested was very fairly priced.
A number of our friends and neighbours have commented on the brightness, light and high standard of workmanship. We have no hesitation in recommending the company as the project was completed on schedule and within budget.
